Eye 4 Strabismus

A focused training model for extraocular muscle surgery. The Eye 4 Strabismus (revision A2) lets residents, fellows and experienced surgeons practise the key steps of strabismus surgery in a realistic setting before their next case.

The model consists of a globe with cornea and sclera, four rectus muscles (medial, lateral, superior and inferior) and a conjunctiva covering the muscle insertions, mounted in a frame. The new Holder 4 Strabismus keeps the eye stable on the table and can also be mounted on the MatPro 4 Eye or on the Magic Arm for free positioning under the microscope.

What you can train:

• Conjunctival opening and closure

• Isolation and hooking of the rectus muscles

• Muscle recession and resection

• Suture placement at the muscle insertion

• Paediatric strabismus surgery familiarisation

Options:

• Eye 4 Strabismus (PN0458), eye only

• Eye 4 Strabismus with Holder 4 Strabismus (PN0458 plus PN0495)

Recommended suture: Suture 6/0 Polypropylene Blue (Sutures 4 Practice). Matching instruments are available under Instruments 4 Practice.
