Physical Surgical Simulators for Resident Training
Artificial eyes, holders, instruments and complete wetlab stations for ophthalmology residency programs. From one resident to a whole department, ordered like consumables.
What "simulator" means here. Ophthalmic surgical simulators come in two families. Virtual-reality simulators (Eyesi by Haag-Streit, HelpMeSee, VirtaMed) are software-driven devices with automatic scoring, purchased as capital equipment. Physical simulators are model-based: an anatomically accurate artificial eye in a holder under a microscope, operated with real instruments and real viscoelastic. eyecre.at makes the second kind. Many programs run both; the physical simulator is the one that trains instrument feel and is affordable per resident.

How procurement works
Quote and purchase order
Send us the number of residents and the procedures you train; you receive a written quote within 24 hours. We accept institutional purchase orders and invoice the institution directly.
VAT
Austrian VAT (20 %) applies within Austria. EU institutions with a valid VAT ID are invoiced VAT-free as intra-community supplies. Orders outside the EU are generally VAT-exempt; import duties are the responsibility of the recipient.
Delivery and reorders
Worldwide from Innsbruck, Austria. Eyes are shelf-stable: no cold chain, no biological waste, no lab permission for animal tissue. Announce time-sensitive course dates in advance.
Documentation for tenders
Company registration, VAT ID, product data sheets and material information on request. Training models are not medical devices and are declared as such in tender responses.
What VR cannot give you
Real instruments, real viscoelastic, a real microscope and a tissue-like eye with a defined pathology (small pupil, hard nucleus, compromised capsule). Every resident gets a station instead of queueing for one device.
Evidence

Our Technology Partner: Addion GmbH
Every custom product we deliver is manufactured by our long-standing technology partner Alexander Hechenberger and his company Addion GmbH: Tyrol's specialist for professional and medical 3D printing.
Addion operates state-of-the-art PolyJet systems capable of combining up to 50 different material mixtures in a single print at 27μm layer resolution. This technology is what makes the anatomical accuracy and tactile realism of custom eyecre.at products possible.
