Customs & Import Information
For international orders — everything your customs broker or Importer of Record needs.
All eyecre.at GmbH products are supplied under Incoterms® 2020 CIP (Carriage and Insurance Paid To). As the consignee, you act as Importer of Record and are responsible for the import customs declaration and any national import requirements in the destination country.
Each product has a Manufacturer's Declaration stating the product-specific HS code and Country of Origin. The values below are taken from those declarations; download any declaration directly from the list.

What CIP means for you
Under Incoterms® 2020 CIP, responsibilities are split between us and you as follows:
- Export clearance from Austria and all export formalities.
- Arranging and paying for carriage to the agreed destination.
- Transport insurance for the journey (Institute Cargo Clauses A, min. 110% of value).
- Commercial invoice, packing list and the Manufacturer's Declaration for each item.
- Import customs clearance in the destination country, as Importer of Record.
- Import duties, VAT/GST and any local taxes or fees.
- Any import licences or permits required locally.
- Onward transport beyond the agreed destination, if needed.
Note on risk: under CIP, risk passes to you once the goods are handed to the first carrier, while we continue to pay for carriage and insurance to the destination. Our insurance is the standard all-risk minimum; if you require wider cover, you can arrange additional insurance.
For a smooth import — what to have ready
To help your customs broker clear the shipment quickly, you'll receive (or can request) the following from us:
- Commercial invoice
- States value, currency, quantity, Incoterms (CIP + named destination), and our EORI/VAT.
- Packing list
- Itemised contents, weights and dimensions for each parcel.
- Manufacturer's Declaration
- Per product — HS code, Country of Origin, and confirmation of non-medical training use (downloads below).
- HS / commodity codes
- Indicative codes per product (see table). Your broker confirms the exact national tariff line.
- Statement of intended use
- All items are professional surgical training equipment — not medical devices (MDR 2017/745 out of scope), non-sterile, demonstration only. This often affects classification and admissibility.
- Tracking & carrier documents
- Air waybill / tracking number and carrier details, provided once your order ships.
Tip: give your broker the product's Manufacturer's Declaration up front. Because these are explicitly non-medical training models, stating that clearly in advance avoids them being mis-classified as regulated medical devices, which is the most common cause of delays. For any document you don't see in your shipment, email request@eyecre.at and we'll send it the same business day.
Product Declarations
HS codes are indicative and provided to assist the Importer of Record; they do not constitute a binding customs classification. Country of Origin and HS code per product are stated in each Manufacturer's Declaration.
